The Asian Designers Collection in Tokyo started in 2009 with the objective of promoting cultural exchange between Tokyo and other Asian cities, and to stimulate Tokyo fashion and activities in the industry. The Collection is held as part of the “Young Fashion Designer Support Measures Program,” which is jointly promoted by Japan Fashion Week (JFW) and the Tokyo Metropolitan Government.Collections of emerging designers invited from Asian cities, and of Grand Prix finalists active in the Tokyo fashion scene and participating in the training and business support program are presented during JFW. Bringing together up-and-coming designers from Tokyo and Asia, we are promoting new fashion originating from Tokyo.
